Mayor Tom Arceneaux announced on July 11th that the Capital Projects Dashboard is now live, offering a quick way for the public to view details on street repairs, water and sewer updates, facility renovations, and public safety improvements funded by the city’s 2021 and 2024 bond issues.
The dashboard, accessible at capitalprojects.shreveportla.gov or through the city’s website, displays the details of each project.
“There are 163 projects that are listed on there, and you can find out for a particular project, whether it is funded, whether it’s under design, whether it’s out for construction, or out for bid. There’s a lot of information that you can get from that,” explains Mayor Arceneaux.
Residents can filter projects by district, project type, or phase to see what is happening in their own neighborhoods.
Mayor Arceneaux praised the City’s Information Technology Department, led by Shocker Creal, for developing the platform, making it more accessible to the public.
“The dashboard is pretty intuitive; it’s pretty user-friendly,” says Mayor Arceneaux.
In addition to project information, the dashboard features a “Report a Concern” link that directly connects to Port City 311, the city’s interactive platform for citizens to report infrastructure concerns to City of Shreveport employees.
Users will also find a “FAQs” tab on the dashboard, where frequently asked questions are answered and citizens can find the most up-to-date answers to questions related to all capital projects.
