Bloomington, Ind. – July 17, 2025
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University will host an expanded Quantum AI and NLP Conference this August, drawing world-renowned researchers, tech leaders, and community members to explore the frontiers of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
Set to take place August 6–8, 2025, at the Indiana Memorial Union, the conference will feature keynote talks from experts at NVIDIA, IBM Quantum, Microsoft, and Quantinuum. Former IU President Michael McRobbie is also slated to speak, alongside Amazon Quantum representatives and IU’s Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering Dean.
Organizers say the event, which has grown in scope since its initial announcement, aims to bridge academia and industry while remaining open and inclusive to the broader public.
“This is not just an academic conference,” said Damir Cavar, co-organizer and IU professor.
The event is meant to be inclusive to the Bloomington community, and students, startups, local businesses, software engineers—anyone curious about where AI and quantum computing are heading, are welcome to attend.
The conference is supported by a wide range of IU departments and labs, including the Luddy School, the Department of Linguistics, the Ostrom Workshop, and the Center for Quantum Technologies. It is also held in cooperation with the ACM Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIGAI).
A reception and banquet are scheduled for 6 p.m. on August 6 in the Tudor Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. The conference will span three days of presentations, panels, and networking opportunities.
