On July 15, around 11 p.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Killburn Avenue and Auburn Street when they pulled over a silver Volkswagen for a traffic stop. Owen told authorities he was being followed by another vehicle that flashed a weapon at him.
He said the other vehicle was trying to ram him off the road, according to court records.
Officers saw an open container of alcohol while speaking to Owen.
Authorities searched the car and found a firearm that appeared to be 3D printed. The pistol was fully loaded.
Owen is charged with possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card, aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded weapon without a FOID card.
