LACOMBE, La. (WGNO) — A Lacombe man pleaded guilty in a St. Tammany Parish rape case on Tuesday, July 15.

According to District Attorney Collin Sims, the case began when a then-17-year-old girl told her mother that beginning around 6-years-old, she was repeatedly raped by 36-year-old Brandon Cedric Jones.

Following an interview with the victim, it was discovered that Jones entered her room on multiple occasions and raped her, using a pillow to stop her from making any sounds. On another occasion, court documents state that the victim said Jones raped a friend who had stayed the night with her, forcing the girl to watch.

Officials say the investigation also identified a third victim who had been inappropriately touched when she was 15 years old.

On July 15, the district attorney’s office reported that Jones reportedly acknowledged that the accusations levied against him by his victims were true and accurate after stating that he elected to change his plea to guilty. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison without parole, which, should he live long enough to be released, will be followed by his registration as a convicted sex offender.
