Lester is a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The football skills camp, which is a free community initiative, is Lester’s way of giving back. “This camp is our way of paying it forward,” said Tre’ Lester. “We are who we are because coaches, mentors, and community leaders poured into us when we were kids. Now it’s our turn to do the same.”
The camp is open to 100 participants and will offer instructions on the fundamentals of football, teamwork, and discipline. Parents can register their children in advance or walk up on the morning of the event. A waiver and parental consent form will be required at check-in.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Check-in starts at 8:00 a.m. Children must be aged 6-14.
