ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Winnebago County Deputies arrested Christian Medrano, 29, on charges of failing to return from furlough.

Medrano has multiple felony convictions and pending felony cases. In one case, Medrano is accused of robbing a store and attacking a clerk.

On June 9, around 4 p.m., officers were made aware that Medrano, a felon in Winnebago County, had left Rosecrance’s Harrison Campus, breaking his furlough agreement.

The terms of the furlough stated he needed to turn himself in to deputies if he left before finishing treatment.

He failed to turn himself in after leaving the treatment center on June 8, according to court records.

Medrano was already being held on charges of criminal property damage, violating an order of protection, aggravated battery, robbery and domestic battery.

He was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on July 14.

He is now charged with failure to return from furlough by a felon.
