TAZEWELL, VA (WVNS) – A Jeep Invasion is set to take over the Tazewell County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Owen Hodge is the co-founder of the Southwest Virginia Jeep Invasion. He said this is a great opportunity for folks to come out and show off their Jeeps, no matter how clean or dirty those vehicles may be. Tons of awards are on the line for Jeep owners.

“One day, [in 2023], I told my grandfather that I just wanted to have a Jeep Invasion. Do something like [the one from] the Smokies on a smaller scale. After that, we just started planning and eventually we got an idea going. It has [expanded] to a pretty big set up this year. The first year we were running around [with] a little sound system, and now it is a bigger set up and it is just really cool to see,” said Hodge.

There is much more folks can do besides checking out the Jeeps. There will be vendors, a bouncy house, waterslide, stereo competition, and even a duck race.

Here is the full list of events:

  • 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Vendor Setup
