WATCH: Severe storms wreak havoc around the DMV
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Severe storms on Wednesday are tearing up the DMV.

There have been flash flood and tornado warnings issued for parts of the DMV, accompanied by heavy rain and thunder and lightning.

Roads were starting to flood in Adams Morgan in D.C. as cars drove through it.

The heavy rain was wreaking havoc on Metro riders at the NoMa-Gallaudet U Station.

A tree also fell down along 1st St. in Northwest D.C., blocking the roadway.

In Germantown, Md., a tree fell down and a car crashed into it.

In Alexandria, Va., some drivers had to ditch their cars because of the flash flooding.

Although there was a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, as DC News Now captured a double rainbow in Tenleytown in D.C.
