PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said two people, including a child, were hospitalized following a crash in Marlow Heights Tuesday afternoon.

Details remain limited; however, the Prince George’s County Police Department said that around 11:25 a.m., officers were called to St. Barnabas Road, where a car and a dump truck had collided.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and a child was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the truck was not injured and remained at the scene.

As of 1:09 p.m., St. Barnabas Road was closed in both directions between Dallas and Pohanka Place.

Drivers traveling in this area are encouraged to follow police directions.
