Township Police seek return of memorial items for fallen motorcyclist

MAINVILLE – Main Township Police are seeking the return of wooden crosses, photos, and more from a roadside memorial that was at the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash.

This was in the 1000 block of Mainville Drive in Main Township, police said.

If anyone knows who removed the items or where they are, contact the police department at 570-784-6175.

“We understand that it may have been someone cleaning or removing the items with no malicious intent and we are not looking to file charges against the person or persons responsible,” police said in a Facebook post. “We simply are trying to locate the items so they can be returned to the family.”

A motorcycle ride and benefit is planned in memory of the motorcyclist and police say the family would love to have the items returned to remember him.
