Teen, 20-year-old critical in Hegewisch shooting

CHICAGO — A teen and a man were shot Tuesday morning in an apparent parking area for semi-trucks in Hegewisch.

Officers responded to the 13400 block of South Torrence on the report of a person shot just after 8:35 a.m.

Officers at the scene located a 16-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

He was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition.

Police learned at the scene that a 20-year-old man self-transported to Trinity Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and the body.

He is listed in critical condition.

SkyCam9 over the scene shows the area hosts multiple parked semi-trucks and officers put up tape behind one of them.
