BAYOU VISTA, La. (
KLFY) — An employee of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with domestic violence, authorities said.
Blaze Phillip Bourg, 47, Bayou Vista, is charged with domestic abuse battery.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at approximately 7:50 p.m. Sunday to a disturbance at a residence involving Bourg and another individual. After an on-scene investigation Bourg was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish jail for booking.
Bourg has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation by the Office of Professional Standards, officials said.
Bail information was not released.
