KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A New Orleans man and woman are in Kenner police custody after an alleged shoplifting attempt.
According to the Kenner Police Department, on July 1, 33-year-old James Mosley and 33-year-old Shandell Quinn were reportedly spotted in Walmart’s self-checkout line doing what officers call the “skip-scan.”
The two allegedly attempted to leave the store with $86.57 worth of unpaid merchandise.
Kenner officers said the two were detained by Walmart’s asset protection team before being arrested by Kenner PD.
An investigation led officers to discover that Mosely had an outstanding warrant from the New Orleans Police Department for attempted second-degree murder. Additionally, he was on parole for felon in possession of a firearm, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, armed robbery and third offense possession of marijuana.
