By rssfeeds-admin (KRON) – A person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday in Oakland, according to authorities.
Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Oakland Police Department’s dispatch received a call regarding a person shot in the 800 block of 41st Street.
Arriving officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene, police said.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
OPD said on Sunday, “An individual was taken into custody related to the homicide.”
