UPDATE: This story has been updated to reflect new information.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A home, multiple vehicles and at least five boats were reported to be engulfed in flames on the evening of the Fourth of July in Clovis, according to the fire department.

Fire officials say it happened in the area of Villa and Gettysburg avenues.

Yourcentralvalley.com initially reported three homes were on fire according to a firefighter on the scene, however; fire officials have provided new information reporting only one home has been affected, including multiple vehicles and at least five boats.

Pictures of the scene showed large, thick orange smoke in the area.

No injuries have been reported as of Friday night, and the cause of the fire is unknown.

The homeowner of the home where the fire reportedly originated, Jeanine Smith, told YourCentralValley.com that, when she learned the backyard of her home was on fire, she attempted to get her cat, which was trapped in the backyard of the house, but fire crews did not allow her to go in.

She says now, the fire has not gotten under control and everything inside her home it’s gone.

“It was home. Everything, pictures. Everything,” said Smith.

CBS47’s Brian Dorman also reported that people were using their hoses to try to keep the fire from getting to their fences or homes.
