Understanding Medicare: A comprehensive guide in Louisiana

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Louisiana Medicare experts are meeting with recipients, soon-to-be recipients, and loved ones to help understand the Medicare system.

At Medicare 101, experts will give clear explanations of what Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D are and how they work. Guidance on how to enroll, when to enroll, and how to avoid penalties. They will also give tips on how to choose the right plan for individual needs.

Medicare 101 is a Louisiana Blue-sponsored educational event open to anyone who needs a better understanding of how the medicare system works. The event will take place on July 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bossier Parish Library.
