NASCAR festivities kick off with Family Fest at Navy Pier

CHICAGO (WGN) — It’s that time of year again when we are making “vroom” in our lives for NASCAR!

The big race is happening this weekend, but the festivities have already started at Navy Pier with the return of the NASCAR Family Fest.

The fest will have fun for the entire family, which includes the opportunity to snap a picture with an official NASCAR pace car, a remote-controlled race course for kids, and a special appearance by a NASCAR driver.

Fest goers will even get the chance to see an official NASCAR trophy.
