Rockford police investigate suspicious death with severe head injuries

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police are investigating a “suspicious death” on Rockford’s Vincent Avenue after a man was found with severe head injuries.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call in the 500 block of Vincent Avenue on Tuesday night, around 10 p.m.

Deputies at the scene reported finding the victim dead on the front steps of the home.

Police have not ruled the death a homicide, and are “actively investigating this incident as a suspicious death.”
