Oregon State coach Mitch Canham named ABCA West Region Coach of the Year

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State baseball announced last week that head coach Mitch Canham has been selected as the West Region coach of the year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

In his sixth year in Corvallis, Canham has led the team to their eighth Men’s College World Series in 2025. Under his leadership, the Beavers made their eighth straight NCAA postseason appearance and 10th Super Regional.

Canham is a former national champion himself with the Beavers in 2006 and 2007.

The Richland, Wash. native is the first OSU head coach to be recognized for an award like this since Pat Casey was named the National Coach of the Year in 2018.
