Structures threatened as crews battle wildfire near Vacaville

(KRON) — Multiple structures are threatened after a wildfire broke out Tuesday evening near Vacaville, according to Cal Fire. The fire, dubbed the “Brown Fire,” is located near the 7500 block of Pleasants Valley Road.

As of 5:15 p.m., the Brown Fire is listed at 10 acres, according to Cal Fire. The fire is burning at a “moderate rate of spread.”

However, fire progression had stopped by 5:33 p.m., according to the Vacaville Fire Protection District. The agency announced before 5 p.m. that an evacuation order was issued.

The fire is about 10 miles northwest of the Vacaville outlets.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
