By rssfeeds-admin BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — The two men killed in a weekend plane crash in Boone County have now been identified.
Boone County Coroner Rebecca Wigget said Scott Wentz, 60 of Grayslake, Illinois, and Kenneth Serzynski, 74 of Beach Park, Illinois, died when their small plane crashed in a cornfield in Capron.
The crash happened Saturday near Capron and Blaine Roads. Wigget and Wentz were found dead after the crash.
The NTSB confirmed it is investigating the crash of a VANS RV10 airplane.
The FAA and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating.
