Thousands without power in Central Pennsylvania amid severe weather

(WHTM) — The severe thunderstorms and floods have knocked out power for thousands of customers in Central Pennsylvania.

PPL reports that 5,647 customers are without power in the Carlisle area and 3,230 are without power in the Millersburg, Dauphin County area. PPL adds that nearly 2,000 people in Lancaster County are also without power.

FirstEnergy also reports nearly 1,000 are without power in Berks County.

Several roads in Cumberland County are also experiencing flooding due to Monday’s storm.

Estimated repair times range from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. tomorrow, per the Cumberland County Department of Public Safety.
