Man arrested in connection with deadly shooting following domestic dispute

ALBEMARLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Albemarle Police Department arrested Alex Jamies Meras in connection with a deadly shooting following a domestic dispute.

On Monday, June 30, at approximately 5:34 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of Amhurst Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Lucio Carranco and Jesus Carranco deceased.

Meras was taken into custody at the scene. He is facing charges that include two counts of First-Degree Murder and one count of Attempted First-Degree Murder.
