Second suspect arrested in connection with deadly Baton Rouge shooting
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Another suspect was arrested in connection with a Baton Rouge shooting that killed one.
The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Eddie Monroe, 17, on a charge of second-degree murder. Police noted that Monroe has an extensive arrest history, including charges of murder and attempted murder. He was identified and arrested as a suspect in a Christmas parade shooting.
Victor LaPharaohs, 22, was shot and killed in a parking lot on Avenue J on June 30. Officers responded after being alerted by a ShotSpotter. Before Monroe’s arrest, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and booked into the juvenile detention center on a charge of second-degree murder.
