Everyone goes to jail: shooter and victim both arrested

SHREVEPORT, La. – Shreveport police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 14, 2025. In a surprising twist, they arrested both the shooter and the victim.

The shooting occurred just after 9:45 a.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Quentin Street.

Officers responded to the scene and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body.

During their investigation, detectives learned that a dispute had taken place at the home. Police identify Demohn Black as the shooter. Black reportedly shot the victim in connection with a domestic dispute involving his mother.

He was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Second-Degree Battery, one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics and one count of Illegal Carrying of a Weapon.

The victim, who entered into the dispute with Black’s mother, is identified as Kevin Henry. Henry faces three counts of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics

This case remains under investigation.
