Search underway after reported drowning at Lake Brownwood

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – According to multiple Brownwood news outlets, another drowning has been reported at Lake Brownwood.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 29, a 47-year-old man reportedly drowned after slipping beneath the surface while holding onto a boat. He did not resurface.

Search efforts began around 1:00 a.m. Sunday and continued into daylight hours in the area between Wild Duck Marina and McCartney Island.
