VIRGINIA (DC News Now) — One lucky person made Virginia Lottery history on Friday, raking in hundreds of millions of dollars with their winning ticket.
The Virginia Lottery said one ticket purchased in the Commonwealth matched all six numbers in the Mega Millions drawing.
That ticket is now worth an estimated $348 million, officials said — the largest prize ever won in any Virginia Lottery game. It was also the 10th time a Mega Millions jackpot had been won in Virginia since the game began in 2002.
The winning numbers were 18-21-29-42-50, with the Mega Ball number 2.
The jackpot was bought at E & C VA, which is at 14878 Northumberland Highway in Burgess, Va. Whoever has the ticket now has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.
