Walker’s Drive-in sold after 24 years

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The owners of a Jackson staple announced they have sold the restaurant.

Jennifer and Derek Emerson, the owners of Walker’s Drive-In, said Monday, June 30 will mark the sale of the restaurant.

“Over these 24 years, our little drive‑in has become so much more than a restaurant—it’s been a place where stories were shared, celebrations were held, and relationships were forged,” the couple said in a statement on social media. They also thanked their customers and staff.

The Emersons said they will begin their next venture at The District at Eastover.

“From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for being part of the Walker’s family. We’re excited to keep growing together in this new chapter. Much love to the new owners of Walker’s as they carry the torch keeping and moving Walker’s forward,” they said.
