Jackson airport expects heavy travel through July 7

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Travel is expected to be busy at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers
International Airport (JAN) until Monday, July 7.

Passengers flying from the Jackson airport are encouraged to check their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport. Passengers are also encouraged to arrive two hours to flight departure to allow for sufficient time for check-in and security procedures.

Parking is available in the terminal Garage, the close-in Surface lot and the Economy lot. Shuttles will be frequent for Economy lot customers, 24 hours a day. Customers can call 601-360-8690 for an updated parking lot status.

JAN Parking Rates are as follows:

  • Economy Lot is $13 per day (with 24 hr., nonstop shuttle buses every 15 minutes)
  • Surface Lot is $17 per day (quick walk into the JAN terminal)
  • Garage at the Terminal is $19 per day (directly at the JAN terminal)
  • Cellphone Lot is free, and 1st 10 minutes in all lots are free
  • Hourly parking is $5 per hour thereafter
