MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person was hospitalized following a rollover crash at an intersection that the California Highway Patrol said is common for crashes.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 41 and Road 416 at around 1:05 on Thursday.
CHP says the crash resulted in a rollover vehicle and one person suffering from minor injuries, who was taken to Kaiser Permanente in Fresno. Officers add that everyone is expected to recover.
CHP says this is not the only time they have responded to crashes in this area – officers respond to eight to 10 crashes at this exact intersection every year.
Following the crash, officers now encourage drivers to “triple check” before entering this intersection.
“Please, please triple check before entering this intersection—look left, right, then left again. Even if you have the right of way, take that extra second. It could prevent a serious crash,” officers wrote on a social media post.
