‘Intentionally set’: Fresno house catches fire twice in one week

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno house caught fire for the second time in less than one week – investigators are now saying it was intentional.

On Thursday, just after 2:30 p.m., Fresno Fire responded to multiple reports of a house fire on the 2700 block of N. Valentine Ave.

The first engine to arrive found smoke and flames coming from a vacant, boarded-up home. The fire had extended into the attic space, but crews were able to extinguish the flames with no reported injuries.

This is the second fire at the house in less than a week. Fire investigators say the fire was “intentionally set.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fresno Fire Investigators at 559-621-2776.
