Update:
MORGAN COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — New information has been provided regarding Friday morning’s crash on I-84.
A motorcyclist was heading eastbound on I-84 near milepost 97, according to Sgt. Cam Roden, UHP. The road reportedly curves to the right at this location.
The motorcyclist drifted to the left into the median, Roden said, where they hit the cable barrier.
The individual was pronounced dead on scene.
A helicopter had responded to the incident but was called off due to the motorcyclist’s death. Eastbound and westbound lanes were closed after the incident, but now have one lane open in each direction.
The closure is expected to last another one to two hours. No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
“We are trying to determine why he went off the road,” Roden said.
