Local high schoolers graduate from Goodwill job readiness program

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Goodwill of the Southern Rivers celebrated over 20 young adults today who participated in the 2025 HYPE Summer Youth Program.

Goodwill says the HYPE program focuses on job readiness and life skills and helps teens earn certifications that prepare them for the workforce.

“This program is about more than just employment. It’s about empowerment,” said Jack Warden,
President and CEO of Goodwill Southern Rivers. “Our HYPE graduates leave equipped not only with valuable skills but a sense of purpose, confidence, and possibility.”

Georgia State Representative Teddy Reese (D) was a guest speaker at the event, encouraging the graduates in their future accomplishments.

The free, four-week program is offered at multiple Goodwill training centers throughout the region.
