From classrooms to Uganda: Illinois couple’s nonprofit supports over 100 students

Betty and Charlie Laliberte, former York High School employees who moved to Beacon Hill senior living community in Lombard two years ago, are the founders of ChildrenUP, a nonprofit that helps promising Ugandan students continue their education beyond seventh grade.
