CHICAGO (WGN) – Three people were seriously injured after being shot in West Englewood Wednesday evening.
Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 6:50 p.m. near a park in the 6500 block of South Throop Street.
According to police, a 25-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect shot them.
Investigators said the 25-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition; the 32-year-old woman was shot in the chest and left leg and taken to University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition; the 37-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition.
No arrests have been made and Area One Detectives are investigating.
