LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News New) — Loudoun County is offering programs to help curb the abuse of opioids.

The program REVIVE! is a training session that assists in opioid overdoses and naloxone education. Loudoun County offers two variations of the program — Rapid REVIVE! and Virtual REVIVE!

The Rapid REVIVE! program is shortened, allowing participants to complete the training in six minutes and receive a naloxone nasal spray. No registration is required, and it’s available anytime.

Meanwhile, Virtual REVIVE! is a one-hour training session and requires registration. The next one is scheduled for July 18 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants who finish the training are also eligible to receive free naloxone nasal spray via mail or pickup.

Anyone who uses opioids or knows someone who is using opioids is encouraged to attend.

REVIVE! trainings can also be scheduled upon request. Click here for details.
