
INDIANAPOLIS — For the third year in a row, the FOX59/CBS4 newsroom received the News Excellence Regional Emmy Award.
The FOX59/CBS4 newsroom received the News Excellence award, one of six Emmy Awards, during the 56th Central Great Lakes Emmy gala in Indianapolis on Saturday evening.
The Central Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awards excellence to newsrooms, production companies, public TV stations and more from parts of Indiana, Ohio, as well as Erie, Pennsylvania.
FOX59/CBS4 was also honored for the team’s coverage of some of the biggest events in the past year in Indiana, including the Richard Allen trial in Delphi in November 2024 as well as the Indiana Governor’s Debate in October 2024. Beairshelle Edmé, an evening anchor for FOX59, also took home an award for her work as a news anchor in 2024.
