6-year-old child struck, killed by vehicle in Forest Grove parking lot

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A six-year-old child was struck and killed by a car in Forest Grove on Friday afternoon, police said.

The collision took place just after 4 p.m. in a parking lot near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Laurel Street.

“On arrival, officers located a six-year-old child struck by a vehicle. The child was pronounced deceased on the scene. The identity of the child is not being released,” Forest Grove police said.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Anyone who witnesses the crash is asked to call police.
