Severe storm tears through Delaware Valley leaving thousands without power

(WPHL) — After a severe storm made its way through the Delaware Valley, thousands are left without power and cleaning up the debris left behind.

As of Thursday evening, approximately 223,000 customers lost power in the Philadelphia area.

According to the latest reports by PECO, 157,000 are still without power on Friday morning.

For customers in New Jersey who use PSE&G, the number of outages is 178 as of 7 a.m. That number has significantly dropped, with over 2,333,635 customers served throughout the past 12 hours.
