KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — As severe weather swept across Kentucky Sunday night, tens of thousands of customers were left in the dark.
According to the Kentucky power outage map, around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday there were 37,446 customers without power.
The majority of outages are being traced to Jefferson County, with 19,408 customers without power.
In Breckenridge County, there are currently 3,139 customer outages.
In Meade County, there are currently 2,746 customer outages.
In Bullitt County, there are 5,977 customer outages.

If you spot a downed power line, Kentucky Utilities (KU) said to stay away from it and call (800) 981-0600. KU customers can report and track outages through the mobile app and lge-ku.com/storm.
Emergency officials said not to call 911 if you are experiencing an outage unless it’s a life-and-death situation. Instead, call your utility provider.
