High heat for the first days of summer

The first day of summer will feel like it across Acadiana with very hot and muggy conditions. Highs will reach mid-summer levels around 93° but feels like temperatures could get hotter than 105° this afternoon. Rain chances look low with only a few showers and storms after lunchtime.

More of the same is expected on Saturday. Rain chances increase slightly on Sunday as the high heat and humidity remain in place.
