FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested for arson following a domestic violence call.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said that on Sunday, deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a home off Highway 28 outside of Red Bay.
The suspect, 31-year-old Dallas Terry, allegedly poured gasoline all over the home and said he was going to light it. The FCSO said Terry’s wife was inside the home and their four children were outside at the time of the incident.
The FCSO said Terry’s wife was trying to keep him from pouring the gas and lighting it. The sheriff’s office said deputies observed rooms with gasoline when it arrived on the scene.
The FCSO said Terry never set the house on fire despite pouring gasoline on it.
“Alcohol is believed to have been a factor with Terry,” the FCSO said.
Terry was then charged with five counts of reckless endangerment and one count of attempted arson. He is being held in the Franklin County Jail without bond.
