OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — A 22-year-old Sterling woman faces DUI charges after she was injured in a two-car collision on Friday night.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Abby Wellman, 22, of Sterling, was traveling westbound in the 1700 block of West Illinois Route 64, in Malta, around 8:18 p.m. when she struck a silver Nissan Rogue headed eastbound.
After hitting the Nissan, Wellman’s vehicle continued into a southern ditch, striking a utility pole and then overturning in a field.
She was transported to a local hospital for unknown injuries, police said.
