By rssfeeds-admin PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State junior infielder Aiva Arquette has been a standout player for the Beavs this season, getting himself named to major award lists, setting program records, and earning All-American honors.
On Friday, the Kailua, Hawaii native was selected to be one of only four finalists for the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger of the Year Award. Following in the footsteps of another star player for the Beavs, Travis Bazzana in 2024.
Arquette has a .354 batting average, 70 runs scored, 18 home runs, and 17 doubles. He’s second on the team in RBIs with 65, has a .658 slugging percentage, and seven stolen bases in eight attempts.
Arquette is also a finalist for the Brooks Wallace Award which recognizes the nation’s top collegiate shortstop. So far, he’s been given All-American honors by Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), as well as All American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region selection.
Arquette has been predicted to be a potential top 10-MLB draft pick.
