Wednesday temperatures: Thanks to lots of clouds and a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, temperatures on Wednesday will not be as hot as they have been today. Lows Wednesday morning will be in the 60s and low 70s. Daytime highs will be near or slightly below normal in the mid to upper 80s.
Rainfall coverage increases: The rain on Tuesday has been more focused on the southern third of the area. That will change on Wednesday. Futurecast shows that we will begin the day with a mostly cloudy sky and dry conditions over most of the area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage and intensity and will likely reach their peak late in the afternoon and during the early evening. They will then decrease and end on Wednesday night.
We will likely see pockets of heavy rain during the next few days. Futurecast indicates that isolated to scattered locations could see totals in the range of two to four inches. Much, if not most, of the area will see an inch or less.
Rest of the week: The threat of scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue each day for the rest of this week. The good news is that there will likely be no issues with widespread severe weather, as any severe storm threat should remain isolated. Temperatures will stay near normal, with highs in the 80s and low 90s. Overnight lows will remain in the low to middle 70s. Rain chances will decrease next week, and the heat will increase.
