NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Rain is finally tapering off Tuesday evening and we will stay mostly quiet through the night. Temperatures will be more pleasant with mainly in the mid 70s.
Overall the pattern looks active through the week but not necessarily as much as what we saw today. Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s Wednesday and Thursday, with the hotter spots being areas that don’t see rain or at least not until later in the day.
Rain chances will be 50-60% through the wee. It won’t be a total washout but we will see more storms than normal pop up during the daytime heating hours. Most rain will taper off by midnight each night. Some locally heavy downpours will be the main threat, along with gusty winds.
