There are nearly 500,000 people living with Alzheimer’s Dementia in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. More than 780,000 people are taking care of someone living with dementia in our area.
Two upcoming events on June 17th and 25th focus on these caregivers.
“Both are no cost, in-person events that are taking place in our community really featuring esteemed speakers and professionals who serve our community locally. They both offer educational and dynamic opportunities to not only learn about how to be a caregiver most effectively, but also how do you take care of yourself as a caregiver,” said Kristina Fransel, Executive Director.
Other upcoming events include “The Longest Day.” On June 20th, thousands of participants from across the world will come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice
“It’s the day when we really drive out the darkness of Alzheimer’s disease. The Walk To End Alzheimer’s is the largest event of its kind across the country held in more than 600 locations. We have one of our biggest walks in the country right here in our very own Philadelphia on November 8th,” said Kristina.
