Two men arrested in Vicksburg for marijuana possession
VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police arrested two men during a traffic stop after officers said they found marijuana inside a vehicle.

The traffic stop occurred on Sunday, June 8. After speaking with the vehicle’s occupants and conducting a search, investigators said officers located a substantial amount of marijuana inside the vehicle.

The driver, Tayvion Pope, 22, of Vicksburg; and passenger, Robert Ward, 24, of Port Gibson; were both arrested at the scene. Police said Pope was already out on bond for a previous possession charge.

Both individuals were arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court. Pope’s bond was set at $300,000, and Ward’s bond was set at $200,000.
