3 rescued from Powell County park after getting ATV stuck

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Powell County first responders rescued three people after their vehicle became trapped on an unknown trail in the Hollerwood Off-Road ATV Park.

According to rescue officials, around 8:40 p.m., dispatchers were able to pull coordinates from a phone after receiving a distress call. The coordinates were promptly sent to responding search and rescue officials.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Powell County Search and Rescue said the UTV was stuck, and a winch had to be used to get it free. Around 10:40 p.m., the three were rescued, along with their vehicle, and they were taken out of the woods.

Officials said no one was injured and they were able to drive away from the park.
