On June 2, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an Assist Officer call in the 1000 block of Pitcairn Pointe. A Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputy was already on scene with a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident.
The deputy reported hearing a loud noise around the 900 block of Pitcairn Pointe and observed an 18-wheeler hauling a flatbed truck drive over the center median of the circle drive, causing noticeable property damage to the landscaping.
Upon arrival, Shreveport officers initiated their investigation. The suspect, identified as Carlo Ramirez, refused to identify himself or provide a driver’s license. He was taken into custody without further incident.
Ramirez was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and charged with Hit and Run and Resisting an Officer.
This is one of those situations that could have been easily avoided with a little common sense and cooperation.
